NEW YORK (WABC) -- The summer has begun with a bang, and several blockbusters are still going strong. Another big-name film hits theaters this weekend.
The X-Men series of movies has grossed $1.5 billion in theaters around the world, but the fourth in the series, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," was panned by critics.
So how does a filmmaker ensure a future for this franchise? By looking to the past and giving us a prequel explaining the origins of other familiar characters.
