Justin Timberlake Tweets his sponsored race car's big win at the Indy 500

Justin Timberlake is on a winning streak.

After getting rave reviews and solid ratings for his hosting stint on "Saturday Night Live" in May, the singer and actor had another reason to celebrate on Sunday when his sponsored race car won the Indianapolis 500.

The singer's clothing line William Rast, which he started with longtime friend Tracy Ayala in 2006, sponsored driver Dan Wheldon. Wheldon outpaced 32 other cars to the finish line to take home the top prize on Sunday. This was the second win for Wheldon, 32, who last won the Indy 500 in 2005.

"What a Memorial Day weekend! The William Rast car just won the Indy 500," Timberlake Tweeted on Sunday. He later added, "Congrats to Dan Wheldon, the WR racing team and everyone else who put in the hard work for this victory! Unreal!"

Last week, the singer scored major ratings for his return to the "Saturday Night Live stage" with musical guest Lady Gaga. According to the network, the episode was the highest rated season finale since 2004, when the Olsen twins hosted.

Timberlake revived one of his popular characters from his "Saturday Night Live" digital shorts "[Expletive] in a Box" and "Mother Lover" with Andy Samberg. The new short, dubbed "The Golden Rule" featured Lady Gaga and can be seen below.

Check out the digital short below and let us know what you think of Justin Timberlake's hosting skills.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian get married

LeAnn Rimes, 28, and Eddie Cibrian, 37, got married in an intimate ceremony on Friday, the country star confirmed on her Twitter account on Saturday morning.

"Eddie and I are overwhelmed by the amount of lovely well wishes," Rimes wrote on Twitter on Saturday morning. "We are blessed and.... I'm Mrs. Cibrian!!!!! So wonderful to wake up as husband and wife. Love to all of you."

The bride's spokesperson told People magazine that Rimes wore a Reem Acra gown and exchanged personalized vows with the actor in front of about 40 guests at a private home in California. Friends and family, including Cibrian's sons Mason, 7, and Jake, 4, from his previous marriage were led to believe they were attending an engagement party.

"LeAnn and Eddie were happily married today surrounded by their closest family and friends," the bride's spokesman told People. "They thank everyone for their well wishes."

Last month, Rimes ended a Twitter battle between herself and Cibrian's ex-wife Brandi Glanville after fans and cyber bullies got involved with the women's feud.

In February, Glanville Tweeted to Rimes, "I told Eddie to please tell you that I think it is highly inappropriate for you to sing in my sons class on Friday. Boundries!! [sic]"

The two women have had bad blood since Rimes and Cibrian went public with their romance back in 2009 after falling in love on the set of the Lifetime movie, "Northern Lights." At the time, Cibrian was still married to Glanville while Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet. Rimes and Sheremet divorced in June 2010 while Cibrian and Glanville finalized their divorce in October 2010.

The couple moved in together over the summer and got engaged in December when Cibrian proposed with a 5-carat diamond ring.

Rimes has taken to her Twitter page before in her battles with the media including defending her slimmer figure and denying that she and Cibrian were planning to do a reality show together.

Zach Galifianakis says 'Hangover Part II' character is a dumb mouth-breather

Zach Galifianakis' character in "The Hangover" managed to be naively catastrophic after accidently drugging his "Wolf Pack" groomsmen. In "The Hangover Part II," he is back to potentially ruin yet another wedding but the actor says his role is particularly easy for him.

"My character's just so one-dimensional, it's so easy," Galifianakis said in an interview provided by Warner Bros. Pictures. "He's just a dumb guy who mouth-breathes and says really bizarre things, so that was pretty easy to do."

In the movie, which was released during Memorial Day weekend, the four stars (Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Ed Helms and Justin Bartha) travel to Thailand for Stu's wedding. Helms plays the character who famously lost a tooth in the first film and ends up with the now infamous Maori-inspired face tattoo the eve of his wedding in the sequel.

In the first R-rated comedy movie, which hit theaters in 2009, hijinks ensued when the four arrived in Las Vegas for a bachelor party ahead of the wedding of Doug, played by Bartha.

"I think this one, the sequel has upped the ante as far as action and the extremes of how far Todd likes to push things," Galifianakis said. "We were shooting a scene for the second one and you hear Todd yell, 'cut, wow that might have been too much for me to even put in a movie.'"

Galifianakis admits that he didn't want to return home after filming in Thailand because it was so "un-boring" there.

"I don't really want to go back because I think I might be bored when I go back to the United States. This might be the most un-boring place. I just love it. And then as far as the islands and where we shot in Krabi, it's a different pace but the people are just the best here, they really are just the best."

The comedian is best known for his "Hangover" character and roles in movies like "Dinner for Schmucks" and "Due Date." He also does regular comedy videos on FunnyOrDie.com called "Between Two Ferns," where he interviews celebrities between two potted plants. The funny man admits that he has a similar sense of humor to "Hangover" writer/director Todd Phillips.

"Todd's sense of humor and, I can speak for myself, Todd's sense of humor are similar in certain ways. It's all about trying to surprise an audience and not to telegraph a joke necessarily and when a joke hits you and you don't really expect it, I think that's... Todd and I really like the unexpected... I think the difference between a good comedy director and one that's not so good is that Todd also lets the actors have freedom to try things out and sometimes he likes it and sometimes he doesn't."

While it was rumored that a lawsuit over the tattoo artist's copyright on the Tyson tattoo would possible hold back the film's release, it was announced this week that the film would still open in theaters on May 26.

When asked at the recent Los Angeles premiere what he thought of having Helm sport his tattoo for the movie, Tyson told OnTheRedCarpet.com host Rachel Smith he was "honored." Tyson appears in both the original "Hangover" film and its sequel, playing himself.

Galifianakis, meanwhile admits that he never imagined he would be friends with the retired boxer.

"He shows up for a couple of days and it's just fun to see him," Galifianakis said of Tyson. "I never thought that I would be buddy-buddy with Mike Tyson and I'm sure he thought the same thing about me."

Alec Baldwin joins Twitter - Find out who he's following

Alec Baldwin has officially joined the Twitterverse.

The "30 Rock" star began Tweeting on Friday and his profile is marked with a verified check mark. The actor mentioned in his first Tweet that he was slightly nervous about speaking on the social networking site for the first time.

"My first tweet. Maybe I needed a glass of wine beforehand. I feel....so shy," the 53-year-old wrote.

The actor is also following some notable Twitter accounts including Steve Martin, President Barack Obama, NBC's official Twitter stream, George Takei and his '30 Rock' co-star Tracy Morgan.

"I have decided to be @Alec_Baldwin's angriest twitter follower," Steve Martin wrote on Sunday.

Baldwin recently addressed Harvard Law School's graduating class on Wednesday. He told students that he should have pursued a law degree instead of becoming an actor.

Baldwin graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. He has received three Golden Globe Awards, two Emmys, five SAG Awards and the Television Critics Award for his role as Jack Donaghy on "30 Rock."

"I wanted to be President of the United States, so I needed to get my hands on a law degree," Baldwin told the 2011 graduating class, The Harvard Crimson reports. "Nearly every day since then, I wondered what would [have happened] if I had the patience, skill, or good fortune."

Ja Rule prepares for prison time, talks about 50 Cent feud

Ja Rule is preparing to serve a two-year sentence for weapons charges and said in a recent interview that his long-running feud with rapper 50 Cent is over and that it was important to finish his new album before going to prison.

"I just want to put it out to the world before I go in," Ja Rule told The Life Files. "It's funny because, I'm about to go to jail, and my main concern is to make sure that I get this album done and out there for the fans."

Ja Rule is scheduled to surrender for his two-year prison sentence on June 8, the day after his new album "The Renaissance Project" is scheduled for release. The rapper also made an effort to wrap up his "beef" with 50 Cent.

"It's resolved now," Ja Rule said. "I'm cool. We ain't beefing no more. We'll never collaborate. That's just what it is... We don't gotta go to war, but we're not friends either. But we can coincide inside of a world. He's doing him, and he's not thinking about me, and I'm doing me and I'm not thinking about him."

Ja Rule and 50 Cent have had a long-running feud, which has emerged in their music and recently in a Twitter war, after 50 Cent wrote disparaging things about Ja Rule. But the rapper admits that he is embarrassed to have engaged in the argument.

"I was a little ashamed of myself to be even involved with that. Because I'm like, yo, I'm 35-years-old and I'm on Twitter beef? That's not something I want to entertain, but I'm a man first, so I'm reading (expletive) like him sending Tweets and little things about me."

In March, Ja Rule admit that he failed to pay taxes on more than $3 million in income and could face more prison time.

The rapper and actor, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, is already set to begin his two-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon.

He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 13 on three tax evasion charges and faces up to one year in prison and $100,000 in fines on each count, according to the Associated Press, which carried the report.

"So to the Feds very cooperative it's not tax evasion its failure to file and I'm taking care of it case closed #WINNING lol..." Ja Rule said on his Twitter page, referencing a catchphrase recently made popular by Charlie Sheen.

Ja Rule earned the money between 2004 and 2006, the AP said, adding that if plea conditions are met, the government will dismiss two counts against him for unpaid taxes on $1 million he earned in 2007 and 2008.

Ja Rule pleaded guilty at a New York court in December to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. Police had said they found a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun in his Maybach sports car in July 2007 following a concert in the city with Lil Wayne, who was detained separately.

In November, Lil Wayne completed an 8-month prison sentence after reaching a plea deal regarding the same case.

Ja Rule is known for songs such as "I'm Real" with Jennifer Lopez and his 2001 album "Pain is Love" was nominated for a Grammy Award. He has also has appeared in films such as "The Fast and the Furious" in 2001 and "Scary Movie 3" in 2003.

Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way' on track to sell 1 million copies in its first week, report says

Lady Gaga's latest album "Born This Way" is on track to sell 1 million copies in its debut week, according to Billboard.com.

The album is outpacing initial projections in part, because of a special offer for Amazon.com, which sold "Born This Way" for 99 cents for two days this past week.

The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that the demand for Lady Gaga's album took a toll on Amazon's servers and some customers were unable to download the album.

Amazon's spokeswoman Sally Fouts told the wire service that Amazon experienced a high volume of traffic that caused delays for those downloading the album. "Born This Way" was only supposed to be on sale for 99 cents on the album's release date on May 23. However, because of the difficulties, Amazon made the album available for 99 cents again on May 26.

Billboard suggests that even without the Amazon offer "Born This Way" was on the way to making a big debut. First day sales for the album were estimated at 500,000 units sold.

Lady Gaga, who was born Stefani Germanotta, was recently named No. 1 on the annual Forbes Celebrity 100 list, beating out Oprah Winfrey and Justin Bieber for the honor of the most powerful celebrity.

Jessica Chastain on Brad Pitt and 'The Tree of Life' preparation

Jessica Chastain talks about her "phenomenal" co-star Brad Pitt and says she prepared for her role in "The Tree of Life" by watching old Lauren Bacall films.

"When I first met Brad, it was right before we did the courtship section of the movie," Chastain said in an interview provided by Fox Searchlight Pictures. "So, Brad and I were like 'hey, it's nice to meet you!' and then all of a sudden, we were on the grass, you know, kind of playing with each other's hair and he was incredibly nice and charming and smart and just a really great guy. And the next time we work together, we're jumping right into the marriage with the children."

The film opened with a limited release on Friday, May 27, and tells of three young brothers in the 1950s in the Midwest. Chastain plays the boys' tender mother while Pitt plays their sometimes harsh father and his character's oldest son, who is 11, witnesses the loss of innocence. Sean Penn portrays the boy when he is an adult, who tries to reconcile with his father.

Chastain was impressed with her co-star's dedication to the role, despite it being a difficult character to take on.

"He was so brave and generous by not being 'Hey, I'm likable Brad,' he really went for the difficult, scary scenes, especially with the boys. It's really hard for someone to do because everyone wants to be liked but he was just 100 percent committed to the story that we needed to tell and he was so inventive with my scenes with him, we just didn't know what was going to happen. Every time we would go, we just really wouldn't know where we were going to be and working like that with another actor is such a gift. It's this ultimate freedom. And he is phenomenal, I think, in this film."

Pitt was equally impressed with Chastain, telling the Associated Press in a recent interview that we will be seeing a lot more from the talented actress.

"We're going to see great things from her. She's a great find," Pitt said. "She just walked into this thing, and she was throwing punches with me on par and dealing with the unwieldiness of going off-script and working with non-actors. Man, I really relied on her. It takes great talent to keep that focus, and there's real charm and beauty, and she's really bright, this woman. So I think she's capable of a lot of things that we've yet to see."

In preparing for the role, Chastain said that director Terrence Malick told her to watch old Lauren Bacall films.

"I also watched a lot of movies from the 30s and 40s, Terry asked me to. I watched a lot of Lauren Bacall movies. He asked me to because there was a different way of talking. He said to me, and I find this to be true, I find myself doing this a lot, that the way we speak nowadays, we speak so fast because we're so afraid that somebody's going to cut us off, so we kind of talk and there's this rambling, but if you watch movies back from the 1930s, 1940s, there's this confidence and directness, and it's very slow - the way they speak. Which is actually the way that Terry speaks in real life."

"The Tree of Life" won the coveted Palme d'Or award at the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, May 22 and Chastain also starred in two other films which aired at Cannes, including "Take Shelter" which was awarded the Critics Week Prize.

The 30-year-old actress has five projects in development, including an adaptation of Oscar Wilde's Salome called "Wilde Salome," which stars Al Pacino. Chastain will also star in an Untitled Terrence Malick project with Rachel McAdams, Javier Bardem and Ben Affleck, which is slated for a 2012 release.

Tony Romo gets married to Candice Crawford

Tony Romo is now a married man.

The Dallas Cowboys star quarterback, who dated singers Jessica Simpson and Carrie Underwood, married fiancee Candice Crawford on Saturday, May 28.

The couple wed in a ceremony at Arlington Hall in Dallas, Texas, reports People magazine. The ceremony included 600 guests including Troy Aikman and "Gossip Girl" actor Chace Crawford, who is Candice Crawford's older brother.

Us Weekly reports that other guests included singer Ashanti and Kim Kardashian's ex-boyfriend Miles Austin. The magazine also reports that the bridesmaids wore Badgley Mischka dresses while the groomsmen wore tuxedos made by Dolce & Gabbana.

Crawford is the former Miss Missouri from the 2008 Miss USA pageant and currently works as a sports reporter for KDAF-TV in Dallas.

Romo, 31, proposed to Crawford while they were celebrating her 24th birthday at Wolfgang Puck's Five Sixty restaurant in Dallas in December, according to KDAF Television. The station's website posted a photo of her engagement ring. The couple has been dating since the summer of 2009.

Romo dated Simpson, between 2007 and July 2009, and Underwood, between 2006 and 2007. The football star famously broke up with Simpson in the summer of 2009, the night before the pop singer's 29th birthday. The couple had been dating for nearly two years.

Underwood, 27, married hockey player Mike Fisher, 30, in Georgia in July. Simpson is currently engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson, the two announced their engagement in November 2010. They have yet to reveal their wedding date but Simpson announced in March that she and Johnson might elope.

LeAnn Rimes defends her bikini body on Twitter - See photos

LeAnn Rimes is defending her bikini body on Twitter following fan concern that she is "scary skinny."

The 28-year-old country singer drew concern from fans after posting photos of her posing in a bikini on Sunday.

One of Rimes' followers commented on the photos, "Whoa, you're scary skinny! Sorry don't mean to offend but that's a lot of bones showing through skin."

The country crooner wrote back, "Those are called abs, not bones, love," adding later, "This is my body, and I can promise you I'm a healthy girl. I'm just lean. Thanks for your concern, but no need to be."

Rimes got into a similar argument in March, after debuting a significantly slimmed-down figure.

At the time, Rimes wrote on her Twitter page, "I am completely healthy! If people only saw how much I ate."

The singer wrote back to another fan in March when asked if she saw a tabloid article about her weight saying, "I don't care about the dumb articles. I know how healthy I am. Maybe those people should start taking care of themselves...inside and out."

Rimes later told another fan, "I take care of myself, eat what I want without putting crap into my body and am at a healthy weight."

Back in September, Rimes donned the cover of Shape magazine and talked about her workout habits, saying, "Going to the gym and punching out some of my aggression on a pair of mitts has been a lifesaver. Sometimes I felt so depressed I didn't want to get out of bed, so just getting to the gym - even for a few minutes - was a big accomplishment. "

On April 22, Rimes married actor Eddie Cibrian in an intimate private ceremony. Rimes and Cibrian went public with their romance back in 2009 after falling in love on the set of the Lifetime movie, "Northern Lights." At the time, Cibrian was still married to Brandi Glanville while Rimes was married to Dean Sheremet. Rimes and Sheremet divorced in June 2010 while Cibrian and Glanville finalized their divorce in October 2010.

'The Hangover Part II' makes an estimated $86.5 million over the weekend

"The Hangover Part II" is on par to become the one of the highest grossing R-rated comedies of all time.

The R-rated comedy features the return of Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms on the big screen as part of the "Wolf Pack" from the original film. The crew travels to Thailand for Stu's (Helms) wedding and their plans for a bachelor celebration go awry once again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film has earned an estimated $86.5 million since Friday and $118 million since its release on Thursday. It is on track to earn an additional $20 million for a five-day estimated total of $138 million. The industry newspaper notes that the total will set a record for comedies.

A lawsuit over Tyson's tattoo threatened to push back the film's release, but the film opened in theaters on May 26, as scheduled.

Meanwhile, the weekend's second big film release "Kung Fu Panda 2," is poised to come in at a distant second with $48 million for the weekend, according to the Associated Press. The animated movie features the voices of Jack Black and Angelina Jolie, who reprise their roles from the original 2008 film.

In the movie Jolie voices the part of a kung fu mistress who must help the panda Po, portrayed by Black, protect the Valley of Peace. Dustin Hoffman voices Master Shifu, a red panda who trained Po.

"I like her," Jolie said on her character in an interview with OnTheRedCarpet.com and other news outlets at the recent Los Angeles premiere of the film. "I think I have her weakness too - she's quite tough, but she doesn't really sometimes know how to be soft. So it's taken me a little while in my life and my kids have certainly helped with that, to get me a little softer. I have a bit of a hard shell sometimes."

"Kung Fu Panda 2" is expected to earn a total of $68.2 million over the holiday weekend.

Last week's top film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," fell to third place with an estimated $39.3 million. In the film, Jack (Johnny Depp) crosses paths with Angelica (Cruz), a woman who he slighted in the past and they agree to help each other to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. The movie is expected to reach a two-week domestic total of $163.6 million by Monday.

"Bridesmaids," another R-rated comedy with "Saturday Night Live" star Kristen Wiig, lands in fourth place with an estimated $16.4 million over the weekend. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is expected earn an additional $4.4 million on Monday to raise its domestic total to $89.4 million.

Finishing out the top five is the Marvel comic book based film "Thor." The movie, which stars Natalie Portman and Anthony Hopkins, made an estimated $9.3 million.

How to Hire a Children's Entertainer

You are looking for someone to entertain children for a very special event (e.g Weddings, Parties etc) and making the right choice is very important. Do not focus on price, the cheapest is not always the best. Find out what they offer then judge whether it is good value for money.

* Look for Professionalism

Any good entertainer will look and behave in a professional manner. They will want their business to look smart and professional as well. If little or no effort has gone into their advert or website, how much effort do you think they put into their shows? Search for the adverts or websites that look professional and indeed check to see whether the performer is a full-time pro. You should also beware of agencies; they have numerous entertainers on their books and you may not be booking the person shown on their website. Also costs are often higher as the agent adds commission to the entertainer's fee.

* Knowing What Services to Book

Having found an entertainer that looks the part you need to dig a bit deeper to find out what types of services they provide and any party formats they may have. If you are looking for a 2 hour party, will the entertainer entertain all the children for the whole period (food break excepted)? This is very important, if the entertainer advertises games and the children are "out" as the game progresses, the child that is out is now free to cause all sorts of trouble! This type of game is not recommended and neither is face painting. If the entertainer has come on their own they can only paint one child at a time, so what do all the rest of the children do? You need to find an entertainer that engages the children for the duration of the party, keeps them involved and most of all has lots of fun with them. Prizes are a great way to grab children's attention and good entertainers will use these to good effect.

* What To Look For in Your Entertainer

Having established what the entertainer can offer, ask how they are qualified. Questions to ask:

Are you a member of any magic societies or organisations for professional entertainers?

Do you have public liability insurance?

Are you CRB (Criminal Record Bureau) police checked?

The CRB check is becoming more a standard amongst entertainers, although many will argue it is out of date the day after it is issued, an enhanced check will show all criminal convictions the person may have. There is no reason why an entertainer should not have a CRB certificate they can show unless they have something to hide.

* Discussing Your Requirements

A good entertainer will communicate in a professional, manner and always provide a written or email confirmation of the event, what is to be performed and the cost, this way all parties understand what will happen on the day. Try to imagine the way the party will go and is the entertainer providing a range of entertainment for the duration of the party? This is very important as the magician may perform a 1 hour magic show, which initially may sound fine, but 1 hour is a long time for the children to stay sat down however good the show! Children's magicians are actually starting to understand this and some are starting to offer discos, games and even balloon modelling to compliment the magic, which gives a whole host of activities for the children at the party which keeps their interest high.

Finally, how does enthusiastic does the entertainer sound? If they don't seem excited about the show when you speak to them, this may reflect in the quality of their work. I hope you found this article helpful and will hopefully ensure you choose the right Children's Entertainer and have a great day.

Mark Traversoni is a full-time Magician and Children's Entertainer operating in Warwickshire, The Midlands and surrounding areas in the UK.

05/25/2011 'Dancing with the Stars' wrap from Hollywood

The audience for “Dancing with the Stars” has grown this season, and the crush of the media at the final night seems to have grown along with the size of the crowd watching. Reporters perch on small folding chairs during the show in a small area just outside the doors of the studio with the crowd spilling over into the lane the stage hands use to push the sets into and out of the huge room. We watch on TV monitors and hear the muffled roar of the crowd applauding from time to time in the studio.

05/24/2011 Transformations

I am not a cynical man by nature, and 30 years of covering Hollywood has not hardened me. made me skeptical, but I like to think that’s healthy. I do love the excitement of showbiz, and though I am not a special fan of “Dancing with the Stars,” and don’t make it a habit to watch the show in its entirety (I see excerpts each week), there’s no doubt that I do look forward to covering the finals in Hollywood.

The essence of shows like this is contained not so much in the dancing as in the humandrama. On the floor, the emotions of the moment are very human and very real. So-called “reality” TV is famous for amping up the drama which is why those quotation marks go around the word! But, what’s genuine is the effort required to transform stars from other fields into believable dancers, and the joy they feel when, with the help of their professional dance partners, they pull that off.

Hines Ward told me hearing the judges give Kym and him a perfect score is like scoring a touchdown at the Super Bowl, and he oughta know since he was MVP there for The Steelers. He told me the injury his partner suffered a couple of weeks ago left him frightened last night. I looked into his eyes and I saw the fear there, but that didn‘t stop them.

Chelsea Kane’s young life has been transformed by the show. That is not an exaggeration. Think about it: she was known pretty much only by pre-teens thanks to her appearances with The Jonas Brothers on The Disney Channel. Win or lose tonight…she’s just leapt up the ladder of fame much quicker than she could have leapt anywhere else. When stars tell you they’re “grateful” as she did last night, I am always suspicious (heard it once too often from stuck-up stars), but in her case—I believe her.

Finally, nobody has transformed more this past season than fan favorite, Kirstie Alley. I have known her for almost 30 years, and I love her take on this town (she’s REALLY skeptical). Bruno told her last night she had his “respect”. Kirstie told me, she’d rather have a score of 10 from him… Kirstie and Maks will be dancing together at Manhattan Center and she made me promise to go and see her. Who am to say ‘No?’ On a more serious note I asked her if she realized that so many fans see a bit of themselves in her, and she said she was, of course, well aware of that and felt good about it adding, “I always feel happy if I have inspired somebody to achieve, especially if it’s something they think they can’t achieve.” That said, I think she gets the biggest kick out of the fact that last year she was one of tens of millions of women sitting on the couch wondering how the contestants managed to perform all those routines, and this year? She’s among the final three!

Funny ole world, ain’t it?

More behind the scenes at the 'Dancing' finale!

Posted by WABC on May 24, 2011 | Permalink | Comments (0)

05/23/2011 Behind the Scenes at the 'Dancing With the Stars' Finale!

I wish every fan of “Dancing with the Stars” could attend a taping just once. It’s old school razz-a-ma-tazz BIG TIME show business, and I love it. It’s the only stage I have ever been in that looks larger in reality than it does on TV. The physics of TV almost inevitably mean you will cry out, “it’s so small” after entering the studio of your favorite show. That’s not true here in this huge building that houses “Dancing With the Stars” in one half (an ABC show) and “American Idol” (Fox) in the other, and it’s all in one place at “Television City” owned entirely by CBS!

Dancingwiththestars

Producer Andy Savas and I spent an afternoon outside the stage observing plenty of activity. Co-host Brooke Burke’s beautiful, black, Maserati convertible with cognac leather seats was parked directly in front of the entrance to Stage 46. It was located right in my line of sight. I am a car guy so it was hard looking at it, parked right where I had to stare at it enviously while I waited to go live. Judge Bruno walked by with a spring in his step and his shirt open to his naval. He smiled and gave us a wave flexing his tanned pecs to the ladies as he passed. These folks live the So-Cal lifestyle to the max.

Us? Not so much. I’m writing this from a cramped “press room” located steps from the stage. It’s really just a few rows of fold-out chairs behind some curtains on a concrete floor. They get cleared away after the show for a brief press availability with each contestant that follows every show. Salsa and chips are on the bill of fare. But, as Amy Astley says, “we are nice!”

And they are. The ABC folks: Amy, Peter Noll and John Chavez take great care of us where it counts: making sure we get the maximum access to the contestants and to the venue. Their job is harder than it looks: access to the stage and the performers is SEVERELY restricted because every effort by every person in this building is directed to staging the DWTS finale. The show must go on but it also comes first & foremost as you might expect for a broadcast that 20 million + people watch.

The pressure is enormous, but the most relaxed guy in the building is host Tom Bergeron. I ran into him grabbing a paper plate full of grub at the lunch break in the all-day rehearsal. He’s even nicer than he seems on TV, and he is the opposite of the guy who “goes Hollywood” (and believe it -- I have known my share of those). I was born in New Hampshire, and he met his wife there. He was working on the radio. She was on-air at a small, local station. Tom has long maintained a home in one of the most beautiful parts of that state. He goes there regularly, though not as often as he would like. All you really need to know about him is—that’s what we were talking about a few hours before he was going to host the finale of one of the highest rated shows in America.

We had a few minutes with professional dancer Cheryl Burke who has coached two stars to victory. One was former NFL great Emmit Smith (in Season #3) so I asked her why athletes do well in the competition and her answer surprised and interested me: she explained it’s because they are used to being coached and to following a training regime. If Hines Ward wins Season 12, that would mean HALF of all DWTS winners will have been athletes.

We slipped inside with the first audience members and, boy, are those lucky folks with tickets anxious to get inside. A couple of well-dressed ladies attempted to cross between me and the camera lens while we were on the air. The way they saw it—I was blocking their access. Perish the thought!

Bradley Cooper talks screenwriting and directing ambitions with 'Hyperion'

Bradley Cooper actor, writer and director?

"The Hangover Part II" star recently revealed his ambitions to write and possibly direct a film adaptation of the science fiction novel "Hyperion," by Dan Simmons.

During his interview with Charlie Rose on Wednesday, the actor revealed that he and a friend have been working on the project. Cooper says he and his friend "went to [producer] Graham King, who owns the rights to 'Hyperion,' and we wrote a treatment on spec saying, 'Look, I know this is a very audacious endeavor, can you just read this spec we wrote? I think we have a way in to tell the story.'"

He adds, "So now we're negotiating to write the script for it."

The 1989 novel is part of a series of books which also includes "The Fall of Hyperion," "Endymion" and "The Rise of Endymion."

"Ideally I'd love to direct," Cooper said about the project, "but there's no way. I mean, I shouldn't say that. You never know."

Cooper also discussed his audition process to play Lucifer in the screen adaptation of "Paradise Lost" and briefly talked about his next project, a reboot of "The Crow" series.

The 36-year-old actor was recently romantically linked to "House M.D." actress Olivia Wilde. The two have yet to comment on the report.

Check out Cooper's interview on Charlie Rose below. He begins talking about "Hyperion" at the 18:30 mark.

Sean Kingston in stable condition following Miami crash

Recording artist Sean Kingston has been stabilized and moved to the intensive care unit at a Florida hospital, following his personal watercraft accident on Sunday.

The singer's publicist Joseph Carozza issued the following statement on Monday, "Sean Kingston is now stabilized and has moved from the trauma unit to ICU. Sean's family thanks everyone for their prayers and support during this time."

Kingston was rushed to a Miami hospital with serious injuries Sunday evening after crashing into a bridge while riding a personal watercraft.

According to ABC affiliate Local 10, the singer and a female passenger apparently lost control of the watercraft and crashed at the bridge connecting Palm Island to the MacArthur Causeway near Miami Beach. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but it is not believed that alcohol played a role in the accident.

Rescue crews responded to the scene about 6 p.m. and rushed the singer and his passenger to Jackson Memorial Hospital. The 21-year-old was in critical condition at the time. His passenger's condition is unknown. Kingston's family and friends arrived at the hospital after hearing the news.

Kingston's first single, "Beautiful Girls," topped the charts for three weeks in 2007. His self-titled debut album sold over 1 million copies worldwide. Kingston recently toured with pop star Justin Bieber. The two collaborated on Kingston's single "Eeenie Meenie" in 2010.

Bieber wrote on Twitter, "Got my friend @seankingston in my prayers tonight. A true friend and big bro. Please keep him in your prayers tonight as well."

Kingston described his music as a fusion of reggae, pop, rap and R&B and told the Associated Press in a 2007 interview that he refuses to use profanity in his music, saying "that's not the message I am trying to send out."

Brad Pitt says marriage to Angelina Jolie is 'something we've got to look at'

Brad Pitt seems to realize that he and Angelina Jolie have an unconventional relationship. The two have six children together - three adopted children, Maddox, Pax and Zahara, and three biological children, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne, but have yet to tie the knot.

Pitt tells USA Today his children, whose ages range from 2 to 9, "ask about marriage." He adds, "It's meaning more and more to them. So it's something we've got to look at."

The actor stars in the new film "The Tree of Life." The film is currently in limited release, and tells of three young brothers in the 1950s in the Midwest. Pitt plays their father and his character's oldest son, who is 11, witnesses the loss of innocence. Sean Penn portrays the boy when he is an adult, who tries to reconcile with his father.

"Our kids have to live behind a gate. Outside, there are people with cameras," Pitt tells the newspaper about his children's lives. "But I'll take the trade-off. I never knew I was capable of experiencing so much love."

"Angie and I do everything we can to carve out some semblance of normalcy for them, to re-create the kinds of moments that were special for us. It's not unusual for the kids to be covered in paint," he adds. "We have mud fights. It's chaos from morning until the lights go out, and sometimes after that."

The actor adds that not only does he spend quality time with his kids, he and Jolie make time together as a couple and they'll let the children know when they need their private time.

"There are no secrets at our house," the actor said. "We tell the kids, 'Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.' They go, 'Eww, gross!' But we demand it."

Pitt recently told OnTheRedCarpet.com host Chris Balish at "The Tree of Life" premiere that if his kids see the film, "I'm hoping when my kids grow up, they'll go, 'Dad's a pretty good actor because that's not him.'"

Jolie accompanied Pitt to the Los Angeles premiere of the movie on Tuesday, May 24, and wore a red (or poppy), one-shoulder, silk, chiffon Jenny Packham gown with a velvet waistband (see photos).

Pitt also addressed the recent deadly tornado that struck the town of Joplin, Missouri, where his mother and late grandparents once lived, saying: "My thoughts are certainly with them."

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo celebrate upcoming nuptials with wedding shower

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo celebrated their upcoming nuptials with a wedding shower on Sunday at the London Hotel in West Hollywood.

The couple invited guests for cocktails and appetizers on the rooftop of the hotel which houses "Hell's Kitchen" chef Gordon Ramsay's eponymous restaurant.

"Nick and Vanessa greeted guests hand-in-hand," a witness told People magazine. "Vanessa looked gorgeous in a white dress with a black sash. She and Nick both seemed very excited to celebrate with their families and friends."

Though the couple has remained coy about their wedding date and location, Lachey revealed recently that the "countdown's begun." The former 98 Degrees singer also joked that preparations are getting expensive.

"I think the one thing not affected by the recession is the wedding business!! Damn, this is getting expensive. Good thing she's worth it," Lachey wrote on Twitter earlier in the month.

Lachey and Minnillo announced their engagement on November 4, after dating for four years.

This will be the second marriage for Lachey, who divorced Simpson in 2006. Simpson and Lachey starred on the MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica," which documented their married life together.

Minnillo, who is a former Miss Teen USA and television host of shows like "True Beauty," once starred in a music video for Lachey's song "What's Left of Me," which was about his divorce from Simpson.

Simpson is currently engaged to former NFL player Eric Johnson, the two announced their engagement in November 2010. They have yet to reveal their wedding date but Simpson announced in March that she and Johnson might elope. (Copyright ©2011 OnTheRedCarpet.com. All Rights Reserved.)

What Parents Need to Understand About Kids Entertaining

Over the years I have had many parents ask, "How can I get entertainment jobs for my kids?" I realize parents are proud of their children and want to see them excel, but we have to keep things in perspective. Kids are dabbling in balloons, magic, and juggling just for fun. They are not looking for work; they are just playing. As a child develops their entertainment skills, it might become a hobby. Hobbies, if you're lucky, can turn into a career; and if you're really lucky, it may become a successful career! Parents shouldn't worry about how to get their child a job, they should ensure the child has fun playing with their new found skill.

Children, even teenagers, are restricted by law on the number of hours they can work. Companies can not and will not enter into a contract with minors, especially with the liability issues that can arise from hiring a minor. These two reasons alone make it difficult for kids to get entertainment jobs. Many parents will argue that it's only a picnic or just a birthday party, they are not sending their child to work in a factory. However, if the child was sent to a factory it would have strict rules protecting the child, their rights, and a secure work environment. Working for themselves, children and their parents have to use common sense to determine what is hazardous and what is safe, not only for their health, but for the audience safety.

Imagine that your child is a juggler and does a small fire act. They have practiced it many times in the past for family and friends and are now doing it for a crowd of people at the local church picnic. It's been a long, hot, dry summer and the grass is a nice crispy golden brown. During the show the crowd is slowly moving closer and closer. Kids move closer as parents push their little ones up to the front so they can see and hear better. As the performer soaks the fire torch in lighter fluid they accidentally tip over the bucket, and lighter fluid is absorbed into the drought-ridden turf. Trying to be professional the child picks up the torch and begins his or her routine, and because of the spill is now standing in dried grass, covered with lighter fluid.

If a torch drops, will a fire start? How quickly will it spread? Are kids sitting to close? Are animals in the audience? How windy is it? These are things that need to be considered, prior to even beginning a torch act. You may think this would not happen, but I know of a performer who almost started a fire station on fire. This performer was extremely embarrassed, along with receiving a stern lecture by the fire chief and a couple of parents who thought that he was careless. The performer was 23 years old, performed this routine 5 times before in public, and though it was the coolest part of his act. Accidents like this do happen. From then on, the performer had strict rules, made sure a fire extinguisher was available, and would not do the routine if the environment was not safe for the audience. In addition, he went out and bought liability insurance. A hundred-dollar job is not worth injuring a child or the hundred-thousand-dollar lawsuit by the parent of an injured child.

Encourage your child to learn all aspects of entertaining and not just the mechanics. Children can acquire the mechanics of a routine, but lack the communication skills to really sell the routine. These communication skills will come as confidence grows and as the child matures. Often, kids are great when communicating with family and friends, but lack the social communication skills required to work with a group of unknown adults. Public speaking is one of the biggest fears among adults so don't assume that kids don't have the same fear.

Children of professional entertainers understand that multiple skills are required to be a successful entertainer and try to acquire these skills prior to entertaining in public. A professional singer's child may start singing with mom and dad at very early age; their parents work with professionals, give advice, train, and develop their child from experiences that they have learned over their professional career. Individuals or parents who do not entertain are under the impression that just because their child is achieving the basics that the child is now qualified to perform in public. These children may be talented but lack background knowledge and thus are not fully ready to perform.

At a restaurant I frequently entertained at, I would have a mom who would always tell me how great her son's magic was and how she wants him to do show, birthday parties, restaurants and fairs. Her son was 12, a good looking kid, shy, but overall seemed really interested in magic. Just recently, I was working the restaurant and saw this boy, now a 17 year old with some friends. I walked over to the table to entertain the group and just goofing around pulled out a deck of cards. As I did the card trick, (TV Magic Deck) the young 17 year old mentioned he did magic. "Yes, you used to come with your mom and brother." I said. "Yep, that was me," he replied. "My magic is nowhere as good as yours." This was the boy who according to his mother, was going to grow up to be the next David Copperfield. In reality it was a child who was fascinated by magic, took an interest in it and went on with is life. He was not looking for a career, but just an fun outlet.

If your child is really serious about becoming an entertainer then here are some tips to help your child succeed in the entertainment business.

Parents let your child enjoy the activity. If they want to perform, it is best to let it come from the child seeking it, not the parent.
Get the child involved in clubs related to that field and supervise their activity. Clubs are not babysitters, parent need to be there!
Go to local libraries and check out books on the topic. Encourage the child to research what it takes to become good.
Let the child work at their pace. This is not a career yet; it's just a fun hobby.
Don't be surprised if in 6 to 8 months the child's interest changes. School, friends, and age all affect the child's interests. What was so important then is not necessarily going to be now.
When meeting performers, ask if they have any professional tips to pass on. Don't let your ego (parents) get the best of you and start bragging about your child. Just tell the performer your child has an interest in their art. Let the child do the talking, it's their hobby.
Remember the child is just starting out and only needs the basic supplies. Don't go over board buying everything. As the young entertainer grows, so will their equipment needs.
Parents read The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey or How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie - they talk about how to deal with people. If your child is going to be successful they are going to need to understand how to communicate with others and how to negotiate. Consider picking up a book on negotiating. Good negotiating skills can improve your child's chances of getting good paying jobs. Not only in the entertainment field, but in other careers choices later in life.
Do not become obsessed with learning everything, take it in small steps. This will prevent the child from becoming burned out to quickly.
Keep it fun! Let the child develop into their own entertainer.

Entertainment is about fun, but there is a business end and the work can quickly take away the fun. Let the child enjoy their youth and when they are old like us can look back and remember the fun time they had learning and sharing with their parents. Make it fun, not a career.

Stacey Dash of 'Clueless' fame making TV comeback with VH1's 'Single Ladies'

Stacey Dash, who is best known for her role as Dionne in "Clueless," is making her TV comeback with the new VH1 series, "Single Ladies."

"Single Ladies," which premieres on Monday, is produced by Queen Latifah and follows three best friends living in Atlanta, who have different approaches to relationships.

"My partner Shakim Compere and I are excited our production company Flavor Unit is working with VH1 on their first venture into the hour-long scripted series genre," Queen Latifah said in a statement. "'Single Ladies' is a sexy and smart show... something that we feel TV has been missing for far too long and we knew VH1 was the perfect home for it."

Earlier in the month, Us Weekly reported that Dash stormed off the set of "Single Ladies" screaming profanities about her cast mate LisaRaye McCoy.

The 45-year-old actress reportedly said she would not return until her co-star "gets her (expletive) kicked."

Dash starred in the 1995 "Clueless" movie as well as the TV show, which ran from 1996 until 1999. The actress also appeared on "The Game," "The Strip" and the reality show "Celebrity Circus," where celebrities were trained to perform various circus acts.

"Single Ladies" airs on Monday at 9 p.m. ET on VH1.

Adrianne Curry and Christopher Knight of 'My Fair Brady' announce separation

Christopher Knight of "The Brady Bunch" and Adrianne Curry, who appeared on VH1's "My Fair Brady" together announced their separation on Sunday, after exactly five years of marriage.

"After starting a relationship with what seemed to be irreconcilable differences, the couple has reached a period where those differences are no longer appreciated," their manager Phil Viardo said in a statement to entertainment site Hollyscoop.

"The decision was mutually reached after it became clear to both that some perspective was needed in order to assess their unique union," Viardo continued. "They still love one another but need some distance to consider their future."

Knight, who played Peter Brady on The "Brady Bunch" and Curry, who won the first season of "America's Next Top Model" met on the fourth season of the ensemble reality star cast show "The Surreal Life" in 2005 and began dating.

In 2005, they also starred in their own reality show, "My Fair Brady" and got married the following year after Knight proposed to Curry on the season finale.

On Sunday, Curry Tweeted, "May 29th, 2006 I married Christopher Anton Knight. Enjoy your weekend! I certainly am!!!"

Earlier in the month, Curry hinted at trouble at home on Howard Stern's radio show, Us Weekly reports. The reality star said at the time that she was "unsatisfied" at home and sought attention from her Twitter fans. She also admit that she often preferred masturbation to sexual relations with her husband.

Curry told OnTheRedCarpet.com at April's Reality Rocks event that the couple turned down a fourth season of the show to "concentrate on their marriage" and because VH1 wanted the reality star to have a child.

"Season three was all about my husband, my family and very much the network wanting me to conceive a child and I was not ready for a baby at the time, nor did I want to bring a child into the Hollywood environment, so we pulled the plug on the show," Curry told OnTheRedCarpet.com co-host Chris Balish at the Reality Rocks Expo in April. "We wanted to be focused on our marriage without people watching."

"Normally, they walk away [from a reality show] because they get a divorce, like Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson," Curry continued. "But we got to walk away on our terms, which is a lot more satisfying than having people stop watching your show and having it pulled because there are low ratings."

Watch Curry's April interview with OnTheRedCarpet.com below.

Last call at famed Elaine's Thursday night

AP  By KAREN MATTHEWSNEW YORK -- It was last call at Elaine's Thursday, the famed New York City eatery long frequented by mayors, artists and celebrities.

The Manhattan restaurant closed its doors for the final time Thursday. Actor Alec Baldwin, writer Gay Talese, sex therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer - even former New York Gov. David Paterson - were all there to pay their respects to a woman and a bar.

Westheimer said it was like sitting shiva. Former New York City Police Commissioner Bill Bratton called it bittersweet.

Elaine Kaufman ran Elaine's for 48 years until she died in December at age 81. For regulars, Elaine's was more than a scene.

It was a family, a club without dues, a dinner party with a glittering guest list.

Wood Allen opened his move "Manhattan" with a scene set there and Billy Joel immortalized it in the song "Big Shot."

"I don't know what many of us will do," said TV broadcaster Rikki Klieman, who was introduced to Elaine's by her husband, Bratton. "I guess we'll just have to stay home."

Elaine's was synonymous with plugged-in New York for the better part of five decades. "And they were all impressed with your Halston dress and the people that you knew at Elaine's," Billy Joel sang. The restaurant inspired books titled "Everyone Comes to Elaine's" and "Last Call at Elaine's."

For the regulars, Elaine's was more than a scene. It was a family, a club without dues, a dinner party with a glittering guest list.

"It was so comfortable for us because we were on the inside," said Kathryn Altman, who started going to Elaine's in the 1970s when her late husband, film director Robert Altman, was riding high after "M*A*S*H." "It was like a club."

The club was not limited to boldface names. Dana Carey, who is director of event sponsorships for a trade publication, started going to Elaine's as a young woman nearly 30 years ago.

"I knew that every Thursday I could walk in as a single person and I would know about a third to half the restaurant," Carey said. "And everybody was always, `Come sit with us, come sit with us.' There was no other place like it, where you would see an actor, a writer, a neurosurgeon and a former Mets baseball star, all sitting together, and the only common denominator was that they were an Elaine's regular."

Kaufman died at 81 after running Elaine's for 48 years. Longtime manager Diane Becker inherited the restaurant and tried to keep it open before announcing May 17 that it would close for good on Thursday.

"This is one of the most difficult decisions I've ever had to make," Becker said in a statement. "But the truth is, There is no Elaine's without Elaine."

The regulars said Kaufman's uncanny ability to introduce guests to the fellow guest they would most want to meet made it difficult to imagine the restaurant without her.

"If you were sitting alone, she would introduce you to somebody interesting," said Harry Benson, a Scotland-born photographer who arrived in America with the Beatles in 1964 and is currently shooting for Vanity Fair. "A detective who was working on the Son of Sam case. She never put you with some dreary person."

The food was not the selling point.

Allen, who shot the first scene of "Manhattan" at Elaine's, said through a spokeswoman that he was not available for an interview. But he told New York magazine at a screening of his latest movie "Midnight in Paris" that he went to Elaine's every night for decades "despite the unrelenting bad food." He added that "everybody went for conversation and meeting people and chatting, and that was the success of the place."

The decor was indifferent as well. The dark-paneled walls at Elaine's were festooned with the framed covers of books by authors who ate and drank there.

Celebrities like Allen knew that Elaine's was one place where no one would bother them. And there were plenty of celebrities.

"Catherine Deneuve used to go there when she was in town," Benson said. "Willie Nelson. Clint Eastwood. A lot of unlikely people."

Carey said she met her best friend, mystery writer Carol Higgins Clark, at Elaine's. She also met mystery writer Stuart Woods, whose protagonist is always having dinner at Elaine's.

Ruda Dauphin, the U.S. representative of France's Deauville American Film Festival, said she brought people by to show them off to Kaufman and to show Kaufman off to them.

"I brought in Buzz Aldrin," she said. "From the moon to Elaine's. He loved it."

Klieman said that Kaufman would tell her, "I think you might want to stay tonight" when she was expecting a Jack Nicholson or a James Gandolfini.

Her husband, Bratton, said the clientele spanned the range of New York life from writers and actors to the occasional mobster.

"The cast of characters could best be described as sort of a Damon Runyon crew," he said.

Many of the regulars have been returning to Elaine's every night since the closing was announced and planned to be there Thursday.

"Everybody changed their plans in order to be there," Klieman said.

They will exchange numbers and make plans to keep in touch, but it won't be the same.

"Everybody will eventually find a new place to go but we won't all find a new place together," Carey said. "We'll all gravitate to different places."

There may be speeches. There will surely be tears.

"It's like losing Elaine twice: first herself, then the living room where she conducted her nightly salon," Woods, the mystery writer, said in an email. "It was a club where the public were allowed to pay to watch the members dine, and the members liked that."

Whatever Gets You through the Night: A Story of Sheherezade and the Arabian Entertainments

Whatever Gets You through the Night: A Story of Sheherezade and the Arabian Entertainments

"I fear each passing night that I will not receive my maintenance dose of suspense, and then I will cease to exist."--Whatever Gets You through the Night

Whatever Gets You through the Night is an irreverent and deeply funny retelling of the Arabian Nights and a wildly inspired exploration of the timeless art of storytelling. Award-winning writer Andrei Codrescu reimagines how Sheherezade saved Baghdad's virgins and her own life through a heroic feat of storytelling--one that kept the Persian king Sharyar hanging in agonizing narrative and erotic suspense for 1001 nights. For Sheherezade, the end of either suspense or curiosity means death, but Codrescu keeps both alive in this entertaining tale of how she learned to hold a king in thrall, setting with her endless invention an unsurpassable example for all storytellers across the ages. Liberated and mischievous, Codrescu's Sheherezade is as charming as she is shrewd--and so is the story Codrescu tells.

Mark Ballas to Pia Toscano: 'Love you'

Pia Toscano, who competed on "American Idol" this past 10th season, and "Dancing With The Stars" Mark Ballas may be heating things up.

The two sparked dating rumors after they stepped out together in Los Angeles in April. They later appeared on each other's reality shows. On Wednesday, Toscano, 22, attended the "American Idol" finale, which saw Scotty McCreery win after facing off against Lauren Alaina.

"Just watched the idol final in NYC.. @PToscanoAI10 Is my Champion... Love you Pi, so proud of you.." Ballas Tweeted that day.

On Tuesday, he turned 25 and reposted a Tweet that was been written by Toscano, which read: "RT @PToscanoAI10 Happy birthday to the amazingly amazing @MarkBallas !!!!"

Ballas' message included the words: "Love you baby... :)"

When asked before the "American Idol" finale on Wednesday if she is still involved with Ballas, Toscano giggled and told OnTheRedCarpet.com: "We're both just working on our music and dancing."

Toscano was voted off from the FOX reality series in April in one of the season's most shocking eliminations but is getting ready to tour the United States with McCreery, Alaina and the rest of the top 13 contestants this summer.

Ballas and his most recent "Dancing With The Stars" partner, actress Chelsea Kane, placed third on the Tuesday finale of the ABC ballroom dancing contest show's 12th season.
