Kirstie Alley plans to date 'butt ugly men'

Kirstie Alley might be ready to date again, but the actress has her sights set on a different kind of man.

Alley visited "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week, for an episode set to air on Friday and told the talk show host that she is tired of dating "psychos" and "players" and plans to try the opposite in the future -- "butt ugly men."

"I'm thinking ugly men might be the solution," Alley told Ellen DeGeneres, according to People magazine. "I'm talking about butt ugly. Because I go for really handsome men and I think butt ugly would be appreciative."

Alley has been divorced twice and recently said that she is looking for love. Gearing up for her 61st birthday, the actress said she wanted an Aston Martin and a tattoo.

DeGeneres revealed a tattoo artist waiting backstage and played a game with Alley to determine which tattoo she would get -- her children's initials or a picture of DeGeneres. Fortunately for Alley, she won and got her kids' initials tattooed on her wrist.

Alley made headlines in October when it was revealed that she had lost over 100 pounds. The actress hit the runway at Malaysian designer Zang Toi's Spring 2012 fashion show during New York City's Fashion Week looking sleek and slimmed down.

"When I hit that mark, I went, 'That's it!'" Alley told People magazine at the time. "I have more energy than I've ever had in my whole life."

The 60-year-old tells the magazine she hovered around 230 pounds at her heaviest and said, "My body had gotten really weak...There was nothing positive about being fat."

The actress competed on the ABC ballroom dancing series "Dancing With The Stars." She and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy placed second. Alley also shed several pounds during her time on the show.

Alley rose to fame with the 1980s sitcom "Cheers" and played a former model on the comedy series "Veronica's Closet" in the late 1990s.

The actress has battled weight problems throughout her life and has in recent years poked fun at the issue on her own television shows, such as "Fat Actress" and "Kirstie Alley's Big Life," and on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in July.

Alley said that her stint on "Dancing With The Stars" and following her Organic Liaison diet, a weight-loss program which Alley started, helped her drop a few sizes.

The actress and frequent Twitter user said that she feels "back to normal" and is "looking to be madly, deeply in love."
