'Dog the Bounty Hunter' canceled after 8 seasons

After eight seasons "Dog the Bounty Hunter" comes to an end.

The long-running reality series was canceled by A&E on May 21, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show followed the life of fugitive recovery agent Duane "Dog" Chapman and his family in Hawaii and Colorado.

Recently, there's been drama between Chapman's sons Duane Lee and Leland with their step-mother Beth. In a March 21 episode of the show, the two brothers quit the family business.

Chapman, 59, married Beth in 2006. The couple has two children together. Last week, it was revealed that Chapman received multiple death threats through email over the course of four days in April. According to E! News, the emails led to an FBI investigation.

Chapman and his wife made headlines in 2011 when he and his wife posted Nicolas Cage's $11,000 bail after the actor was arrested on charges of domestic violence. The charges were later dropped.
