Andrew Keegan, who starred in the 1999 movie "10 Things I Hate About You," was reportedly detained by police officers who responded to a noise complaint in Marina Del Ray, California on Saturday night.
Keegan, 32, was not arrested but a witness said that there were LAPD helicopters circling the area and 15 officers arrived on the scene. According to Us Weekly, police asked Keegan to turn the music down at his block party and the actor became "very aggressive" and was subsequently thrown down on the ground and handcuffed.
"Oh my God, it was so awful," a partygoer told Us Weekly. "He was tasered right in front of me... You could tell he was in pain."
On Sunday, law enforcement officers insisted that the actor was only briefly detained and released, but was not tasered.
Keegan appeared on several TV shows in the 1990s, including "7th Heaven" and "Party of Five." The actor also starred in films like "Camp Nowhere," "O" and "Waiting for Dublin.
