Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane's divorce is finalized

Patricia Arquette and Thomas Jane's divorce was finalized on Friday afternoon, CNN reports.

The "Medium" actress had filed for divorce in 2009, but tried to make their four-year marriage work. In November 2010, the couple announced that they planned to go through with the divorce.

"The split is completely amicable and their prime focus is their daughter," the "Hung" actor's spokesperson told People magazine in November. "They ask that their privacy be respected at this time."

Arquette, 42, and Jane, 41, met in 2001 and married in Italy in 2006, the magazine said. They have an 8-year-old daughter, Harlow Olivia Calliope. Arquette had filed for divorce in 2009, citing irreconcilable differences, but the couple later agreed to try and work things out.

Arquette stars as Allison Dubois in the NBC crime series "Medium" and is also known for roles in movies such as "True Romance" and "Stigmata." She was married to actor Nicolas Cage between 1995 and 2001. Arquette has a son, who is about 20, with musician Paul Rossi.

Jane plays well-endowed male prostitute Ray Drecker in the HBO series "Hung." He was married to actress Ayesha Hauer from 1989 to 1995. They have no children.

Arquette's brother David and his wife, "Cougar Town" actress Courteney Cox announced their separation in October 2010. The couple married in June 1999 and star together in the "Scream" films, including "Scream 4," which was made just before they announced their separation. They have a daughter named Coco, who turns 7 on June 13.
