Willie Nelson will be joined by an all-star supporting cast at the CMT Music Awards for a rendition of his song, "Roll Me Up And Smoke Me When I Die."
Toby Keith, Zac Brown Band, Darius Rucker and Jamey Johnson will join the party on stage at Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
Nelson has been closing his live shows with the infectious song, which features rapper and fellow marijuana enthusiast Snoop Dogg.
Snoop Dogg sings on the track and does not rap. The song also features Jamey Johnson and Kris Kristofferson. The ode to cannabis is from Nelson's new album "Heroes." The 79-year-old plays on his reputation for recreational opportunities with lyrics such as "Roll me up and smoke me when I die / And if anyone don't like it, just look 'em in the eye / I didn't come here and I ain't leaving so don't sit around and cry / Just roll me up and smoke me when I die."
The Grammy-winning country star has in the past been arrested for possession of cannabis, which is illegal under federal law but is permitted for medicinal use in more than a dozen states and in Washington D.C. It does not include Texas, Nelson's home state.
